Randstad has been engaged to recruit a key vacancy for a key client in Victoria, market leading International Logistics and Distribution company. We are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager who will be responsible for our clients logistics operation services within their flagship site in North Melbourne.
This is a fantastic opportunity will offer the chance to work in an environment where ongoing development is highly encouraged. You will play a vital role in supporting the Site Director to meet the daily demands and ensuring that productivity of all teams are met to set standards.

The Opportunity

  • Analyzing performance and potential of the team.
  • Identifying support and development actions and ensuring that they are carried out through follow up, defines hiring and development strategy.
  • Promoting an intrapreneurship culture by giving members of the different levels of his/her activity the opportunity to suggest and participate in innovation programs and processes continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a high level of compliance with OH&S requirements and enhance an organised and clean working environment.
  • Capacity Management & Liaison with Portfolio, Claims & Quality Management, DOT delivery
  • Supervision of normal operational activities from receiving to dispatch and everything in between.

Key Deliverables
  • Anticipates, adapts and coordinates all or part of the operations activity according to its strategic orientation into a concrete action plan
  • Manages and optimises the activities of the operating sectors, equipment, and inputs entrusted to him/her with a view to maximum efficiency, in accordance with internal processes and customer specifications.
  • Participates in the development of a good relationship with the customer. Manage Customers requests and prioritises operations according to the constraints and provides supervision.
  • contributing to cross-functional projects within his/her perimeter at the site.
  • Identify the potential risks of the work, alerts his/her superior and points of contact and proposes action plans.
  • Leading and managing the various departments of the operation in achieving the objectives set and readjusts if necessary Is responsible for the implementation and compliance with both internal (quality, safety and security, HR,) and legal procedures and rules.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the customer to collect the requirements and monitor compliance with agreed commitments.
  • Calculating, consolidating and/or evaluating KPIs and SLA (Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement) within his/her scope of activity. Analysing results and deviations and proposing actions for continuous improvement.
